wait you had to submit forms just to not say the pledge of allegiance?? I didn’t even realize public schools still made people do that…

I made a previous post about being made to sit in the councilors office followed by the nurses office(because kids said the pledge in the counciling office as well).

This wasnt a form, it was a note, renagotiated after stating the discomfort with being separated from the rest of the class.

After being clear that the student knew their rights the principal backed down and requested(dispite the law stating it wasnt necessary) that the student have a note signed by themselves, their parent, and himself.
